COMMUNITY SAFETY, HEALTH AND WELFARE

  • Continue working with the Sheriff's Office
  • Continue to increase resources and expand the Fire Department
  • Continue to increase Public Safety Patrol presence 
  • Continue to increase resources and expand Building Inspection Services
  • Continue to increase Fire Department personel
  • Add technology driven weather/emergency warning system for citizens to compliment sirens and storm shelter
  • Continue Fire Department escorts to Chelsea High School Football away games
  • Continue to work to signalize Highway 280 at Highway 55
  • Continue to aggressively pursue grants
  • Secure additional property for public safety south of Highway 280
  • Expand Library services
  • Continue to increase City Hall resources and services
  • Continue to recruit for business expansion and job creation development
  • Continue repairs and finish steets in Willow Oaks Subdivision after lengthy bond company negotiation
  • Continue repairs and finish streets in Villages of Westover Subdivision after bond was secured
  • Develop City Hall expansion plan to address need for additional room and services
  • Develop plan to address need for additional parks and community services
  • Continue to work with School Board to request School construction and expansion in the City limits
  • Develop a plan to open a stand alone Senior Center
  • Continue to secure funds to repair additional streets
  • Continue to strengthen resources for the business community
